Attempted murder charge after Kingston stabbing

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations detectives have successfully extradited a 25-year-old man from NSW, after he was arrested by NSW Police yesterday afternoon.   

Detectives identified the man had travelled to NSW following a stabbing in Kingston on Saturday evening (5 March 2022) and with the assistance of NSW Police he was arrested yesterday.   

He appeared before court in Nowra today (Thursday, 10 March 2022) where an extradition request was granted.  

He will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow (Friday, 11 March 2022) to face charges of attempted murder and intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm. Bail will be opposed.
