Braddon man charged with drug trafficking

A 46-year-old Braddon man has been charged with multiple offences following his arrest last night.

About 8.15pm last night (Thursday, 25 November 2021) detectives attached to Taskforce Nemesis arrested the man as he sat in a vehicle in Mort Street, Braddon.

A search warrant was then executed at his Braddon residence where approximately 60 grams of a white powder suspected to be cocaine, approximately $15,000 in cash and a set of knuckle dusters were seized.

Additionally, a white Holden Commodore utility and a silver Renault work van believed to be proceeds of crime were also seized.

The man was charged with trafficking in a controlled drug (other than cannabis); possessing a prohibited weapon and failing to comply with 3LA order to unlock electronic devices.

The man is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today.
