Cocaine and cash seized in NSW and ACT

Facing Court

Two men will face court today (Saturday, 15 May 2021) on charges relating to drug trafficking after ACT Policing and NSW Police executed search warrants in several locations on Friday (14 May 2021).

The warrants executed in Gilmore, Hume, Phillip and Queanbeyan, NSW, yielded trafficable quantities of cocaine, a prohibited firearm and approximately $100 000 in cash suspected of being the proceeds of crime.

Police believe the 29-year-old man arrested in the ACT and the 36-year-old man arrested in NSW yesterday are part of the same criminal syndicate as a 26-year-old man arrested in Belconnen on 30 April 2021.

ACT Policing will continue to investigate drugs and organised crime within the ACT and would like to thank the ACT community for their continued assistance;

Anyone with information about the supply and distribution of drugs in the ACT is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
