Deceased man identified

ACT Policing can confirm the deceased man found in Curtin late last week is missing 33-year-old Shane Watson.  

Mr Watson’s body was discovered about 10.25am on Friday, 28 April 2023 near the Tuggeranong Parkway adjacent to Cotter Road intersection.  

Police are investigating the circumstances of Mr Watson’s death and how he came to be where his body was found.  

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have dash-cam footage between 26 March and 2 April, 2023 from: 

  • Vehicles in the suburbs of Lyons and Curtin; 

  • Vehicles travelling southbound on the Tuggeranong Parkway between Cotter Road and Hindmarsh Drive.  

Police would also like to speak to anyone who may have had contact with Mr Watson during this same period who have not yet contacted police.
