Fire in living room of Hackett residence

ACT Policing is investigating a minor fire within the living room of a Hackett residence today (November 18).

About 11.30am, police received a report of a fire within a home on MacKenzie Street, Hackett.

ACT Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the blaze, with one person treated by the ACT Ambulance Service for minor injuries.

The incident was then handed over to police for investigation as a suspicious fire. City Patrol members took a male into custody and he is now assisting police with the investigation.
