Firearm found during search of Queanbeyan River

ACT Policing homicide detectives have located further items of interest in the investigation into the murder of Eden Waugh.

Officers from AFP Search and Rescue, Forensics, Maritime Divers, NSW Police and ACT Policing Criminal Investigations have concluded the search of the Queanbeyan River and surrounding area with volunteers from ACT and NSW SES and ACT Rural Fire Service also assisting.

During the search, police located a firearm and a crow bar. These items will undergo forensic analysis.

ACT Policing is urging anyone who was in the area of the Queanbeyan River near River Drive, Karabar on the weekend of the 4 - 6 November 2016, and may have seen anyone acting suspiciously to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via https://act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Rewards of up to $1000 may be applicable for information provided to Crime Stoppers that assist in apprehending an offender or solving a crime.
