Greenway man charged with child exploitation offences

A 42-year-old Greenway man is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning after being charged as part of an investigation into the alleged possession of child abuse material.

Yesterday (Friday, 4 December 2020) members of ACT Policing Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team (SACAT), with the assistance of members from Woden Response Crime, executed a search warrant at the man’s residence and seized print media which allegedly contained child abuse material. A number of electronic devices were also removed from the residence for further examination.

The man was charged with using a carriage service to make child abuse material available and possessing child abuse material.

Police will be opposing bail.
