Hydroponic cannabis seized in Charnwood

ACT Policing has seized hydroponically grown cannabis after executing a search warrant at a residence in Charnwood yesterday (Monday, 1 June 2020).

Investigations into other matters on the weekend resulted in ACT Policing Criminal Investigations officers being granted warrants to search the vehicle and residence of a man who was already in custody.

The search of the residence located six mature cannabis plants and two large bags of green matter suspected of being cultivated cannabis concealed in a locked bedroom, in addition to further evidence relating to the other matters under investigation. The estimated street value of the cannabis is in excess of $130 000.

The man, who is already in custody, is expected to face additional charges arising from the cannabis cultivation at his next court appearance.
