Information from the public leads to arrest

A 29-year-old Macgregor man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Monda,y 25 September) charged with burglary and traffic offences.

About 6.00am yesterday (Sunday 24 September) police received a report from a member of the public that a male was acting suspiciously at their neighbour’s residence in Chisholm, and had just left the area in a vehicle.

Police responded and conducted a search of the surrounding areas. The vehicle and offender were located a short time later in Gowrie.

The man was arrested and conveyed to the ACT Watch House.

He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with unlawful possession of stolen property, fail to stop for police, reckless/dangerous driving and driving while unlicensed.
