A 38-year-old man has been arrested at a Belconnen intersection while he was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle, with multiple sets of keys recovered.

About 11.15am yesterday (Wednesday, 30 November 2022) police officers attached to Operation Toric observed a Toyota Hilux that had been reported as stolen travelling in Braddon.

The vehicle was followed and observed to be driving erratically, swerving from lane to lane.

About 11.30am the Hilux stopped at the intersection of Baldwin Drive and Ginninderra Drive where police were able to arrest the man.

He was subsequently charged with drive a motor vehicle without consent, drive while disqualified and drive while under the influence of a drug and is expected to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today (Thursday 1 December 2022).

A search of the vehicle located multiple sets of keys – with police issuing a call for anyone who believes they own the keys to come forward.

If you believe keys pictured are yours – please contact police on 131 444 and reference case number 7284650.
