Man assisting police with enquiries following pursuit

A man is assisting police with their enquiries following a pursuit through numerous Canberra suburbs on Friday (19 March 2021).

Police recovered a firearm during the search of a premises yesterday (Sunday 21 March 2021) as part of an operation to locate the alleged offender following an incident where a man had forced entry to a property in Casey on Friday morning.

It is alleged the man returned to his car before discharging a firearm. He then failed to stop for police and continued driving through a number of southern suburbs.

Police resources were deployed to the area and a number of attempts were made to stop the vehicle including the use of stop sticks.

The white 2005 BMW 320i involved in the pursuit has been located.
