Man charged with 23 offences

ACT Policing has charged a 24-year-old man with multiple offences following repeated crime activity in the ACT since December 2019.

Police will allege the man committed multiple driving, theft and property damage offences after the 22 December 2019 when a Mazda utility was stolen from a residence in Harrison.

Following coordinated investigations, police attended a residence in Farrer yesterday afternoon (Friday, 3 January 2020) where the 24-year-old was located. He was arrested after a short foot pursuit.

The man has been charged with 23 offences including aggravated burglary, theft, drive a vehicle without consent, drive while disqualified, property damage, obtain a financial advantage by deception and breach of a good behaviour order.

He is expected to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday, 4 January 2020) where bail will be opposed.
