Facing court

At approximately 8.45am on 1 November 2016, a female victim was travelling on an ACTION bus between Woden and the city when she was indecently assaulted by a male.

Further reports received by police, indicated that there were other victims on bus routes between Gungahlin and Belconnen town centres during November and December.

Whilst the male has been apprehended and some victims have come forward, police believe there may be other people who have information, and urge them to come forward and speak to police. The 24-year-old male has been charged with four counts of act of indecency without consent and one count of act of indecency on person under 16 years and will face the ACT Magistrates court today (Friday, 9 December 2016).

Police will oppose bail.
