Man to face court for drug trafficking

A 30-year-old Queanbeyan East man is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Saturday 6 June 2020) charged with drug trafficking.

Yesterday (Friday 5 June 2020), police conducted a vehicle stop on a gold Mercedes on Sutton Road, Kowen, ACT.

A search warrant was executed on the vehicle with the assistance of the AFP Canine Team and approximately 500g of cocaine with an estimated street value of $385,000 was located in the vehicle.

The man was arrested and later charged with trafficking in a controlled drug.
