Man to face court for family violence offences
A 36-year-old man will face court today after allegedly assaulting his partner over the course of several years.
Police allege the man attacked his partner multiple times since 2021, choking her in one instance and on another occasion, causing injuries that required hospital treatment.
Yesterday morning (Thursday, 5 September 2024) the man’s partner attended Tuggeranong Police Station to report the incidents.
About 4pm, officers attended a residence in Ngunnawal and arrested the man. He has been charged with choking, suffocating or strangling another person, aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, damaging property, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
