Man to face court for historic sexual assault
A 28-year-old Red Hill man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in June last year.
Police allege at about 1am on Saturday, 24 June 2023, the man sexually assaulted a woman he met that evening in Braddon.
The woman’s friend intervened and the victim reported the assault to police the next day.
Following an investigation by the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team, police executed a search warrant at the man’s residence yesterday (25 September 2024) afternoon.
The man was arrested and charged with sexual intercourse without consent and possessing anabolic steroid.
