Operation TORIC investigating overnight property and vehicle crimes

ACT Policing’s Operation TORIC is actively investigating six incidents early this morning (Friday, 20 January 2023) that police believe are connected. 

Incident One:  

About 1.00am, ACT Policing received reports of a home burglary in Holt, where multiple intruders entered a residence stealing an iPhone, jewellery, keys and a grey Porsche Macan.  

Incident Two:  

About 1.20am, police received reports of an aggravated robbery in Kambah. Four men had entered the property while the owners were sleeping and stole a handbag, car keys, cash and a blue Ford Mustang. 

Incident Three:  

About 1.30am, several reports were received of a Porsche and Ford Mustang in the vicinity of a car fire at a high school in Waramanga.  

Incident Four:  

About 3am, a Downer resident awoke to find both front and back doors of their house open and reported several items, including tools, a wallet, keys and a Toyota Hilux were stolen.  

Shortly after, the Hilux was involved in a collision on Kingsford Smith Drive and abandoned.  

Incident Five:  

About 3.40am, a home alarm was activated at a Holt residence where two motorbikes, a Kawaskai and a KTM, had been stolen by five people.  

Officers responding located the blue Ford Mustang nearby.  

Incident Six:  

About 6.30am ACT Policing received reports that a white BMW and black MG had been stolen from a residence in the suburb of Ngunnawal. Both vehicles have since been recovered by Police.  

The grey Porsche Macan has been located. ACT Policing thanks the community for their assistance.
