P-plate driver caught drink driving

ACT Policing apprehended a 37-year-old Kambah man for drink driving after he fled from police and hid in bushes in Kambah this morning (August 8).

About 3.40am, Woden Patrol members noticed a white Mitsubishi Triton utility driving in a suspicious manner southbound on Athlon Drive, Farrer.

Police located the driver hiding in bushes in parkland some distance away. The driver underwent an alcohol screening test which returned a positive result and he was subsequently conveyed to Woden Police Station for breath analysis, which returned a reading of 0.078.
