Police arrest three men for car theft

Three men will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, 27 July 2022) after they were arrested yesterday in connection with the theft of a car. 

On Monday, 25 July 2022, ACT Policing received a report that a grey Audi SQ7 had been stolen. 

About 8pm Tuesday (26 July 2022) in response to a report of suspicious behaviour in Kambah, officers located the SQ7 and three people, one who claimed he was trying to fix the car. 

A short time later, the three men were placed under arrest, and will appear in court today. 

Two 30-year-old men, from the suburbs of Ngunnawal and Scullin, will both face charges of riding in a motor vehicle without consent and breach of good behaviour obligations. 

A 33-year-old Belconnen man will answer to charges of driving a motor vehicle without consent and driving while disqualified.
