Police investigate drownings at Paddys River

ACT Policing is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of an 11-year-old girl and a 48-year-old man this afternoon (Saturday, 19 December 2020) at Paddys River.

Emergency services were called to the location around 2.20pm. At this stage police do not believe these deaths are suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

ACT Policing remind Canberrans to take care when swimming and watch out for each other when in and near the water.
