Police investigate fatal collision in Tuggeranong

Four people have died on our roads

ACT Policing is investigating a two vehicle collision that occurred in Tuggeranong this afternoon (Wednesday, 10 May 2017) in which an elderly male has died.

About 12.15pm, police responded to a report of a head on collision between two vehicles on Long Gully Road, between Erindale Drive and Mugga Lane.

ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Ambulance Service attended and the driver of one vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to The Canberra Hospital.

ACT Policing's Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team (CIRT) are examining the circumstances surrounding the collision. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

This is the fourth person to have died on ACT roads this year.

Long Gully road will remain closed while emergency vehicles are responding.
