Police investigate suspicious fire in Fyshwick

UPDATE

ACT Policing is investigating a suspicious fire that occured in Fyshwick early this morning (Tuesday, 20 December 2016).

Around 3.20am police attended the building in Gladstone Street following reports the building was well alight.

ACT Fire and Rescue attended and extinguished the fire. At this stage the cost of the damage to the building is unknown. 

It is believed the fire was deliberately lit.

AFP Forensic Services are conducting an examination of the scene and investigations are ongoing.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area or have any information on the cause of the fire to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au and provide reference number 6048751.

Information can be provided anonymously.
