Police investigate targeted shooting in Narrabundah

ACT Policing is investigating a targeted shooting incident in Narrabundah earlier today (Tuesday, 3 November 2020).

About 2.40pm, police received reports of shots fired on Goyder Street, Narrabundah.

On arrival at the location, police confirmed a number of shots had been fired into a house and a car.

Officers established a crime scene and AFP Forensic Services attended to examine the area.

While no one was hurt during the incident, residents were at home at the time of the shooting.

ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations is leading the investigation, and believe this was a targeted attack.

At this time, police do not believe criminal gangs were involved.

Detective Inspector Matt Reynolds said it was important to recognise this was a targeted attack rather than a random incident.

“Any firearm incident like this is no doubt a concern to the community, however police believe there is no ongoing threat to the public,” Detective Inspector Reynolds said.
