Police investigating fatal collision on Barton Highway

Nine people have died on ACT roads this year

ACT Policing is investigating a three-vehicle collision on the Barton Highway (Wednesday, 15 September 2021) in which a man has died.

The incident occurred about 11:20am when two cars and a truck collided and the truck has then rolled over. Medical assistance was provided by members of the public before emergency services arrived.

ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Ambulance Service attended but one of the drivers died at the scene. The other two drivers were transported to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

ACT Policing's Major Collision Team is examining the circumstances surrounding the collision and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.          

This is the ninth fatality on ACT roads this year.
