Police release CCTV footage of assault near City convenience store

ACT Policing has released CCTV footage to identify five people who may have information about the assault of a 20-year-old man in Canberra City on Sunday, 8 August 2021.

The incident occurred about 5.00am, outside a convenience store at the London Circuit end of Petrie Plaza.

After the assault, the victim required hospital treatment for his injuries.

Police are releasing CCTV captured in the area around the time of the assault in order to identify the people and generate a full chronology of the events of that morning.

Anyone who can identify any of the people highlighted in the CCTV footage, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6871946.

Information can be provided anonymously.

Police would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault who has not yet spoken to police about it.
