Police release footage from supermarket burglary

ACT Policing has released footage from a supermarket burglary which occurred in Dunlop last month (Thursday, February 12).

About 3.08am, a white Ford Falcon station wagon is seen to enter the car park outside the Woolworths supermarket on Lance Hill Avenue in Dunlop.

Two male offenders exit the back passenger side of the car and are seen to smash the front door and force entry to the store. A third person remained in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

Three till drawers, including a sum of cash, were stolen by the men before they fled in the car. The till drawers were found eight days later on a grass verge on Flemington Road, Gungahlin.

The Ford Falcon had been reported stolen in January and was recovered burnt out in Florey on February 20.

Police are urging anyone who can identify the offenders or has information which may assist the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
