Police seek witnesses for two aggravated incidents

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to two separate incidents, one an aggravated burglary and the other an aggravated robbery.

The aggravated burglary occurred on Christmas Day, (Thursday December 25), about 10pm in Conder. A 45-year-old man was at home when he answered the door to a female friend. A short time later there was another knock at the door and three men forced their way into the home.

The man was struck in the head and knocked unconscious and was later located by a friend who took him to hospital.

A silver coloured four-wheel drive was seen in the street in the early hours of Friday, December 26 which may be related to this incident. The men stole a set of house and car keys, a mobile phone, the victim’s wallet containing cash and a replica diamond ring.

The two males approached the driver with one entering the rear of taxi and the other the front passenger seat. The man in the front seat pushed the gear stick into the park position while the man in back held a knife to the driver’s neck. The driver handed over a sum cash before both offenders left along Robson Street in Garran.
