Garry Gordon found safe

UPDATE: 
Missing man Garry Gordon was located safe in Tuggeranong around 6:30pm today. Police enquiries continuing.

ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to locate 27-year-old man Garry Gordon who fled Calvary Hospital this morning (Friday, 9 December).

Mr Gordon was last seen at 3.00am today at Calvary Hospital where he was receiving medical treatment and was in police custody.

Mr Gordon is described as being about 189cm (6’2”) tall, with a heavy build and short brown hair.

He may be wearing blue knee length shorts and one white sock.

Police hold concerns for his welfare.

Australian Federal Police’s Search and Rescue team, assisted by State Emergency Services (SES) have been conducting a search throughout the day.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen Mr Gordon or has information that could assist the search, to contact ACT Policing Operations immediately on 131 444.

Mr Gordon was in custody for charges relating to minor theft. While Mr Gordon’s offences are non-violent, we advise the public to call police if they know his whereabouts rather than approach him.
