Second man charged with attempted murder

A 23-year-old man is the second person to be charged in relation to a stabbing in October 2020 in Gowrie.

Police arrested the man yesterday (Wednesday, 10 February 2021) and charged him with attempted murder and aggravated robbery following an extensive investigation.

This is the second arrest in this matter, after the arrest and extradition of a 33-year-old Richardson man from Tasmania last week.

The men have been charged in relation to a stabbing incident that occurred in Gowrie on Thursday, 1 October 2020 where the 23-year-old victim fled to a nearby service station for help.

The man is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates court today, where bail will be opposed.
