Third person to face court after Spence shooting

A 22-year-old man was arrested yesterday (Wednesday 31 March 2021) as part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting at a Spence residence last month.

The investigation commenced after a man presented at Calvary Hospital with serious gunshot wounds in the early hours of Thursday, 11 March 2021. A search warrant executed later that day located several items of evidence including shell casings.

About 5.20pm yesterday, the 22-year-old was arrested in relation to his involvement in the offence.

The man will face the ACT Magistrates Court today on one count of aggravated burglary.

This arrest comes after a 22-year old man faced the ACT Magistrates Court on two counts of discharging a firearm endangering life and one charge of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm.
