Unlicenced level four drink driver caught in unregistered car

ACT Policing charged a 31-year-old Griffith man with high-range drink driving last night (Thursday, 28 April 2022). 

About 9.29pm last night (Thursday, 28 April 2022) police intercepted a Mitsubishi Lancer on William Hovell Drive, Aranda.

The 31-year-old driver of the Lancer underwent a breath screening test which was positive. The man was taken into custody and conveyed to City Police Station.

Soon after, the driver provided a sample of breath that was sufficient for analysis and the result was 0.193 grams of alcohol per 210 litres of breath.

The 31-year-old was served with an Immediate Suspension Notice – removing his right to drive.

He will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on 1 June 2022 charged with drink driving, unlicenced driving and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
