ACT Policing is seeking assistance from the public after an aggravated robbery at a Gungahlin business Tuesday afternoon (2 August 2022).

About 4pm, a male about 180cm tall wearing a dark-coloured hoodie briefly entered a massage business in Anthony Rolfe Avenue.

The man left the premises before returning about ten minutes later armed with an axe and demanding money.

While fleeing the scene on foot, the offender was pursued by a person from a neighbouring business and dropped the handbag after crossing Anthony Rolfe Avenue.

He kept a brown leather purse containing cash and cards and was last seen running towards Gungahlin Place.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or saw anyone acting suspiciously in Anthony Rolfe Avenue, between Gungahlin Place and Tesselaar Street, or has any information which may assist the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
