ACT Policing investigating stolen AFP property

ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to locate property stolen from an Australian Federal Police (AFP) vehicle in Fraser yesterday.

On Wednesday, 30 September 2020, there was a significant ACT Policing and AFP presence in the Belconnen district in response to a report of a stolen AFP duty belt and accoutrements including a firearm.

ACT Policing officers continue to follow several lines of enquiry, and encourage anyone who may have information about the location of the stolen property to contact police. Information can be provided anonymously. ACT Policing also requests dash-cam footage from between 5am and midday in Fraser.

AFP Professional Standards is also conducting an internal investigation in relation to the incident.
