ACT Policing uses social media to communicate breaking news, incidents, crime in the community and safety and security messages. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube to keep up-to-date with the latest information.
ACT Policing
The ACT Policing Facebook page allows us to engage with the local community and share vital operational information, crime reduction messages and news stories. You can also learn more about our officers and the various areas of ACT Policing, campaigns we are running and events.
During a major incident, ACT Policing will update the public via our Facebook page.

ACT Policing has several Twitter accounts with varying purposes; follow the feed that’s best for you, or all of them to ensure you don’t miss a thing.
- @ACTPolicing is ACT Policing’s main Twitter account for distribution of the latest information and news.
- @ACTPol_Traffic has the latest traffic information and road closures around Canberra.
During a major incident, ACT Policing will update the public via our main Twitter account (@ACTPolicing).
The ACT Policing Instagram page is used to positively promote our work and people, by allowing our followers to see behind-the-scenes footage of ACT Policing's operations and members.
YouTube
ACT Policing has two YouTube channels:
- Subscribe to our main YouTube channel to see the latest videos from ACT Policing including campaigns, CCTV footage of crimes in Canberra, unsolved homicides and messages from our Executive.
- Subscribe to Constable Kenny’s YouTube channel and watch safety videos for kids and his latest antics in and around Canberra.
