ACT records fourth fatality for 2020

Four people have died on ACT roads this year

A man has died following a collision on Ashley Drive in Monash between a motorcycle and truck.

About 11.40am today (Sunday 6 September 2020), ACT Policing was called to the collision in the northbound lane near Barraclough Drive.

The motorcycle rider was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics, however, died at hospital.

The road was closed for a number of hours while investigations were carried out.

Police would like to thank motorists for their patience during this time.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the circumstances of the incident, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

The families have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time and no further details will be provided.
