CCTV released of alleged Civic assault

ACT Policing has released CCTV of an alleged assault which occurred outside Akiba Bar on Bunda Street, City, during the early hours of Sunday 12 March.

About 2.10am, a disturbance occurred amongst a number of people outside Akiba Bar on Bunda Street. A man was injured after being pushed to the ground over a planter box by another man. The alleged offender then left the area on foot.  

ACT Policing members from the Regional Targeting Team attended and called the ACT Ambulance Service, who transported the man to The Canberra Hospital. He was treated for injuries and discharged later the same day.

The alleged offender is described as having dark hair and wearing a black jacket, a white T-shirt, dark pants and white sneakers.

ACT Policing has followed a number of lines of enquiry and sought CCTV from the surrounding area. Police are now seeking any witnesses who remember the incident at 2.20am on Sunday 12 March or anyone who can identify the alleged offender pictured in the CCTV.
