Child exploitation material warning

ACT Policing is warning people about possible child exploitation material appearing on Facebook today (Sunday, 27 March).

It is alleged a video has been appearing on the Facebook feeds of people who follow various buy, swap and sell pages.

The still image of the video indicates there is child exploitation material contained in the video, and police are urging people not to click on it as they may find the images distressing.

Police are also warning people not to forward the video or any images associated with the video to anyone (including police or Crime Stoppers) as there are penalties for forwarding child exploitation material.

If you do come across the video, please report it to Facebook who can remove the post from your feed and Facebook will alert the appropriate authorities.
