Cyclist fourth fatality on ACT roads in 2018

Four people have died on our roads

On Saturday, 7 April 2018 police responded to a traffic incident involving a cyclist and vehicle.

About 9.05am the cyclist was travelling south in the bicycle lane along Tharwa Drive and collided with a vehicle at the Mentone View roundabout in Conder.

Yesterday (Tuesday, 24 April 2018) the cyclist was unable to recover from their injuries and passed away at The Canberra Hospital.

ACT Policing's Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team are preparing a report for the Coroner.

This is the fourth road fatality in the ACT for 2018 and involves a vulnerable road user.
