Face fit of offender

ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man involved in an act of indecent exposure in Braddon last month.

About 11.50pm on Tuesday 25 April 2017, a man approached three women walking along Northbourne Avenue near Haig Park and asked them for directions. During this conversation the man exposed his genitals to the women, who then fled the area.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, approximately 30 to 45 years of age and of a medium build with light brown short, scruffy hair. He was wearing dark pants, a leather belt, a white tee-shirt and a dark jacket.

Police have released a FaceFit image of the offender and are seeking the community’s assistance to identify the man.

Police believe the incident may be related to a similar incident where a man exposed himself to two women on Northbourne Avenue, Turner, at about 8.10pm on Friday 5 May.

ACT Policing City Officer in Charge Acting Station Sergeant Brian Tadic said the investigation will seek to identify any other incidents in the area which may be related.

“We will be looking into any possible connection with similar incidents. We want to find out if there have been more incidents that haven’t been reported to police. Anyone who has been involved in a similar incident or approached by someone matching this description is encouraged to report it to police,” A/Station Sergeant Tadic said.

Anyone with information that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6097650. Information can be provided anonymously.
