Drowning at Kambah Pool

ACT Policing will prepare a report for the coroner regarding the death of a 75-year-old man at Kambah Pool today.

About 12:30pm ACT Policing received reports of a man going missing after entering the river.

ACT Policing officers, AFP Search and Rescue, AFP Maritime Operations, ACT Ambulance Services and ACT State Emergency Service personnel, supported by the Toll Rescue helicopter, commenced a search downstream.

The man was located in the water at about 3pm and is confirmed as deceased.

ACT Policing want to remind the public to take extreme care when swimming in any of the ACT Natural waterways.
