Face-fit released after act of indecency in Civic

Facefit image of man police would like to identify

ACT Policing has released a face-fit of a man who allegedly committed an act of indecency at the Canberra Centre last month.

The incident occurred about 5pm on Thursday 28 January 2021 inside the shopping centre.

After an extensive investigation, police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the man.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 183cm (6’) in height, with brown hair described as short on the side and scruffy on top, short beard, brown eyes and smells of nicotine. At the time he was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and black sneakers.

Anyone who recognises this man, or has information that could assist police, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6732664. Information can be provided anonymously.

An ACT Policing face-fit is a graphical representation of a face, constructed by an artist working with a witness. A mixture of technology and artistry creates an image, usually from individual facial features which are then put together to come up with a final composite image.
