Gilmore man to face court on child exploitation charges

A 33-year-old Gilmore man will appear before the ACT Magistrate’s Court today (Wednesday, 6 February 2019) on child exploitation charges.

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations Sexual Assault and Child Abuse team members executed a search warrant at a residence in Gilmore yesterday, where child exploitation material was found on several devices.

As a result, a man was arrested and taken into custody. 

He is charged with five counts of possessing child exploitation material.

Police will oppose bail. Police will request strict conditions should bail be granted.
