Identity sought; Civic assault and ‘coward punch’

ACT Policing is seeking to identify three males involved in an assault of three other males, including a ‘coward punch’ attack, in Civic in the early hours of Sunday 30 October 2016.

About 1.20am, a group formed in Bible Lane next to Academy and an altercation occurred in which three males were assaulted.

After the altercation, one of the victims was then approached by another male who ‘coward punched’ him in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious.

The three alleged male offenders then fled on foot.

The victim of the ‘coward punch’ suffered facial injuries and underwent emergency surgery at the Canberra Hospital.  

Police are seeking to identify and speak to the three alleged male offenders (pictured).

The male who threw the ‘coward punch’, is described as Caucasian in appearance, 170cm (5”7’) tall, of slim build with brown hair. He was wearing a green pin stripe long-sleeved shirt, dark pants and brown shoes.

The second male is described as Caucasian in appearance, 180cm (5”11’) tall, of medium build with brown hair. He was wearing a white long sleeved shirt and dark trousers.

The third male is described as Caucasian in appearance, 185cm (6”1’) tall, of medium build. He was wearing a pink shirt, dark trousers and a blue baseball cap.
