Man and woman to face court for multiple offences

A 32-year-old Chisholm man and 40-year-old Chisholm woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Tuesday, 31 October), for trafficking and possession of drugs and stolen property.

About 8.15am yesterday, officers from Tuggeranong and Woden Police Stations conducted search warrants at residences in Chisholm and Gordon.

During the search warrants, police recovered a .22 rifle, approximately 60 grams of a substance believed to be methylamphetamine, approximately 300 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine, 30 pills believed to be MDMA, about $41,000 cash, a large amount of jewellery, a stolen Isuzu utility and a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The 32-year-old man and 40-year-old woman were arrested and charged with two counts of possess drug of dependence, two counts of knowingly concerned traffic in controlled drug other than cannabis, one count of unlawful possession of stolen property and one count of possess/use a prohibited weapon without authorisation.

They are expected to face ACT Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, 31 October 2017). Police will oppose bail.

A 26-year-old Gordon man will be summonsed to face the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date in relation to possession of a prohibited weapon.
