Man arrested for stolen motor vehicle
ACT Policing arrested a 34-year-old Wanniassa man yesterday morning (Friday, 8 January) in relation to incidents of burglary, theft and a stolen motor vehicle.
About 6am, ACT Policing members attended a hotel on Goyder Street, Narrabundah, after investigations led police to believe a suspect in several current investigations was at that location.
Police located the man within the hotel and found a set of car keys in his possession that started a stolen motor vehicle which was located in the hotel car park. That vehicle was stolen on Monday 4 January from a premises in Hume, ACT.
ACT Policing arrested the 34-year-old man and conveyed him to the ACT Watch House. He will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning for charges relating to burglary, theft and a stolen motor vehicle. Bail will be opposed.
Investigations into several other property offences are ongoing.
