Man charged after assault in Belconnen

UPDATE

ACT Policing has charged a 28-year-old Hawker man following an assault in Belconnen last night (Tuesday, 1 November).

About 7pm, police received a report of an assault at Westfield Belconnen. On arrival, police located an unconscious male with facial and head injuries.

The victim was transported to the Canberra Hospital by ACT Ambulance Service.

The offender was identified at the scene and arrested by officers and conveyed to the ACT Watch House.

The 28-year-old Hawker man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and will be summonsed to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.
