Man charged following the seizure of 260 cannabis plants in MacGregor

ACT Policing has charged a 26-year-old Sydney man with cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled plant for sale, following the seizure of 260 cannabis plants from a residence in Macgregor yesterday (Tuesday, 3 July 2018).

About 10am, officers from Criminal Investigations executed a search warrant at a residence in Cumpston Place, Macgregor.

During the search warrant, officers seized 260 cannabis plants, and a large quantity of hydroponic growing equipment, and approximately 100kg of cannabis leaf.

The man has been charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled plant for sale.

He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, 4 July 2018).

Police will oppose bail.

ACT Policing will continue to target and disrupt the illicit production, distribution and trafficking of drugs in the ACT.
