Man charged with murder following Bruce stabbing

A 70-year-old man has been charged with murder following a stabbing at a residence in Bruce earlier this week.    

About 5.40pm on Monday, 23 October 2023, police were called to a residence on Kinloch Circuit, Bruce following reports of a stabbing.    

A 65-year-old woman suffering stab wounds was pronounced deceased at the scene.    

The man was taken to hospital following the incident, where he remains under police guard.    

He was arrested by ACT Policing Homicide Squad detectives earlier today (Friday, 27 October 2023) and will be charged with murder during a bedside hearing this afternoon.
