Man charged with murder following Page incident

A 35-year-old Page man has been charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder in relation to the incident in Page on Saturday morning (20 February 2021).

Following extensive investigative activity, police have confirmed the 35-year old charged today, the deceased man and the injured man were residents at the share house, while the female victim was a visitor. A fourth resident of the home was not present during the incident.

Police completed their examination of the crime scene at the Braine Street property yesterday.

At this time a motive has not been confirmed.

The charged man and the two victims remain in hospital.

Detective Superintendent Moller praised those that were first on the scene. 

“This was a horrific scene that confronted emergency service personnel on Saturday morning. I’d particularly like to thank our officers and the ACT Ambulance Service officers that contained the incident and ensured a greater loss of life didn’t occur,” said Detective Superintendent Moller.
