Man extradited to ACT following December 2022 stabbing

A 26-year-old man has been extradited from NSW to face court relating to the alleged serious stabbing of a man in December 2022.  

Police allege that on the evening of 8 December, 2022 the victim was driven to Uriarra Road, Stromlo and stabbed multiple times. He was left there bleeding heavily.  

A passer-by located the victim on Uriarra Road and called emergency services.   

Following an investigation, the 26-year-old man was identified as the alleged offender and he was subsequently located imprisoned in NSW. He was released on parole earlier this week and yesterday (Thursday, 4 January 2024) his extradition to the ACT was granted.  

He will face one charge of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm when he appears in court this morning (Friday, 5 January 2024).
